Advisors
Curtis Youngman, Board Member, Utah State Advisor, and faculty member at Salt Lake Community College, returned recently from presenting at the Chinese Marketing Association's annual instructors conference.
There, nearly 2,000 college and university marketing instructors gathered to discuss reformation of the marketing education system. A critical factor in this reformation is the decision to move towards a more experiential learning foundation. The programs, conference and competitive events that Delta Epsilon Chi offers its members is exactly what Chinese educators are looking for!
Our contact, the Deputy President of the Chinese Marketing Association, Mr. Hongda Zhao, gratiously welcomed Curtis and together they shared with instructors the details about getting Delta Epsilon Chi programs and activities working directly in the classroom curriculum. More work must be done as we usher in this new international partner, but we are grateful to Curtis and Mr. Zhao for helping us to make the first efforts successful.
This is an exciting time for Delta Epsilon Chi as we continue to grow our membership both nationally and internationally. As part of our membership development efforts we encourage each of you this year to bring new students into your chapters to experience the value of learning from a hands-on approach.
Professional Development Academies at ICDC
In conjunction with our competitive events program, students and advisors get to interact with industry leaders and corporate supporters. Over the past two years as we piloted this new format feedback has been incredible from students and advisors alike. Check back often for updates regarding this year's program!

Passport Program
The Delta Epsilon
Chi Passport for success encourages local chapters and individual members to plan activities
and participate in events that enhance the experiences of members at the local, state and
international levels. The passport rewards action taken by members and chapters that build
personal and professional skill sets. Members and chapters earning the various levels of Passport
success will be recognized for their efforts at the International Career Development Conference.
Encouraging your chapter to organize their year's activities around the requirements for
award recognition in the Passport Program will provide them with a well-rounded year of
educationally-sound events.
